Lucknow : 26th IOS national PG CONVENTION 2023 is being organised at Sardar patel post graduate institute of Dental and Medical Sciences from 16-19th February. Today the registration opened with over 2200 delegates who travelled from across the country and neighbouring areas. Students made Paper and Table clinic presentations both in the Competitive and Non Competitive categories. Seven Pre Convention courses were conducted by Orthodontics professionals who trained students in latest advancements in Orthodontics.
In convention after registration seven Pre- conference courses were organised by experts. Dr. M S Kannan from Chennai who conducted a workshop on Damon and TAD'S. Dr. Panchali Batra from New Delhi and Dr. Arvind Sivakumar from Bangalore conducted a workshop on Problem based learning. Academecians from PGI CHANDIGARH PROF. Dr. S P Singh,Dr. Sanjeev Verma, Dr. Vinay Verma and Dr. Raj Verma conducted a workshop on 3-D Digital planning of orthognathic surgeries. Dr. Milind Darda from Pune and Dr. Vishal Dhanjani from Mumbai conducted a workshop on Aligners. Dr. Dharmadeep from Andhra Pradesh conducted a workshop on Self Ligating lingua brackets. Dr. Gurkeerat Singh from Delhi and Dr. Ajit Jaiswal from Punjab conducted a workshop on In-house Aligners and Dr. Priyanka Kapoor, Dr. Harneet Kaur and Dr. Aman Chaudhary from Jamia, Delhi conducted a Hands-on workshop on Systematic Reviews and Meta analysis.
During the afternoon session, competitive paper Research was judged by Dr. Toshniwal,Dr.S P Singh and Dr. Amesh Golwara in which 30 students presented their papers. Dr. Kiran, Dr. Yudhishthir, Dr. Ram and Dr. Shishir judged the competitive paper in clinical category while Dr. Rohit Khanna,Dr. Amit Bharadwaj, Dr. Sulabh Grover and Dr. Sonahita Agarwal judges the competitive papers in clinical innovation category. The results of all competitive papers were then handed over to the Indian orthodontic Society.
Competitive Table Clinic in clinical category was judged by Dr. Ragni Tandon,Dr. Amit Nagar, Dr. Anand Tripathi and Dr. Gaurav Gupta.Table Clinic Research category were judged by Dr. Pradeep Tandon, Dr. Shailesh Shenava,Dr. Pratik Chandra and Dr. Mayank Gupta
All the judges and Pre-Convention course mentors were felicitated by the President IOS Dr. Balvinder Singh Thakkar Secretary IOS, Dr. Sanjay Labh, Vice- president IOS, Dr. Shailesh shenava Principal SPPGIDMS, Dr. Gaurav Singh Managing Director SPPGIDMS, Dr. Arohan Singh, Organising Chairman,Dr. Sudhir Kapoor, Organizing Secretary, Dr. Raj Kumar Jaiswal and scientific convener Dr. Jitendra Bhagchandani.
The day ended with quiz competition in which 500 students participated. The quiz competition was conducted by Dr. Sridhar kannan(NEW DELHI), Dr. Panchali Batra (NEW DELHI)and Dr. Vipul Sharma(BHU, VARANASI). Registrations to the 26th IOS PG convention started today at 7 a.m where in over 2200 delegates from across the country and Nepal registered themselves.
